M-468 in Nord-Trøndelag

Hi,

try to find informations about the German minesweeper 468. Found two dates for the loss: 03.12.1942 and 12.8.1944. Can anyone help? All other informations, including photos are very welcome!

Oh, sorry! Found out myself 12/1942 seems to be the date when 23. Minensuchflottille in Norway took the ship in duty.... so I think it sunk 1944.

Anyway, I am still interested in further informations!

M 468 was sunk on the 12.8.44 wast of Namsos while performing escort duty. It did actually hit a German mine.

On the 15.3.43 it was listed as a part of 23. Minensuchflottille, commander Oblt.z.S.d.R. Ricklefs.

I have some basic informations about the minesweeper and searching for more stuff for an article in a diving-magazine......
You are indeed right: poor photos on taucher.net, next time I will publish better ones (I have already better for the print-article but underwaterphotography is not that easy sometimes, esypecially in nordish waters). On the linked web-site there is only one photo of M-468 (the b/w from direction of the stern with one of the two propellers). the other wreck-photos I took at the wrecks of HMT Aston Villa, MS Seattle and Norsk minesweeper 315 Ogna.

Jeg har mange dykk pa vraket af M-468 men nu jeg skall skrive en reportasje for bladet Dykking. Og jeg söker...... alt jeg kan finde om minesveiperen

I posted here cause I hoped that there might be somebody who can give me informations I cant find in the web or maybe even a photo that shows the ship before it sunk. I have at least a month left until I have to send the report for getting published. I know it was not a famous ship and so it is difficult to find more than the basic dates/informations.
