U-boat found on Canadian river Empty U-boat found on Canadian river

What seems to be a German u-boat from WWII have been discovered on 18 meters deep in a Canadian river. This U-boat was discovered when a search for three missing persons was was in progress.

Could this be one of the U-boats that was handed over to the allied after the war? If so, could it be a U-boat that have been used for trials by Canadian forces to whatever purposes? Or could it be that this U-boat have been used by nazi authorities to flee after the war? How many German U-boats have not been accounted for (found)?

By looking at U.boat.net i found that two U-boats surrender to Canadian forces, U-190 and U-889. U-889 was handed over to US and used as torpedo target. U-190 was moved to Halifax.
