stavanger
hello again,
Thanks for the additional pic. Now Im pretty sure its Stavanger harbour. The Chr. Bjelland company was based there, and the islands/hills in the background matches the wiew looking east from the harbour. The main german seaplane harbour was in a bay near Sola airfield, so Im a bit puzzled that so many planes are in the town harbour. Maybe the pic is taken in the early stage of the war.
Regards

Re: Is this in Norway?
Definitely Stavanger (my hometown)
The reason why so many planes in the harbour area was normally linked to the fact that Sola See sometimes was icecovered
But in this picture it seems to be the wrong time of the year..no snowcovered mountains in the background

Re: Is this in Norway?
I think you will find this is in Stavanger, If you enhance the photo you will see the name Chr Bjelland & Co I believe this is a canning company making food tins and canning fish that was located in Stavanger. I think it is now Badedammen, Stavanger. I also have a feeling the modern name is Svankevigå. so if you Google that you might get a better look. I do not know Stavanger very well as I have only been there a few hours.
I hope you find what your looking for.
Paul.
P.S. if you can get me a better photo to enhance it might help.
