4. Sanitetskompani in June 1940 ?

Hello all. I am wondering if anyone could give me information on the location and situation of 4. Sanitetskompani around the first part of June 1940. I have gathered that it was an army medical unit. Thanks.

4.san kp was the medical company belonging to Brig 4. and it deployed to Valdres with the brigade. CO was kaptein Martens, it consisted of staff, 3 hospital platoons and a support platoon. It originally had 26 horses, but coming to Valdres it traded the horses for 2 busses, 3 trucks and 2 cars. As for June 40, it seems to me that they capitulated along with the rest of Brig 4 on May 1. In that case they were prisoners of war until no later than beginning of June, when the last prisoners went home.

Thank you very much, Lars B. The reason I am asking is that I recently bought a 1914 pistol and ran the serial # by someone with a reference on these. That check says that it was last issued to this unit June 1940. I found it strange myself that it would be shown as going out so late. I guess the record shows it as sendt, which most likely means returned to storage. I suppose.
