Already it is receiving excellent reviews from established authorities such as Patrick Salmon, Chief Historian in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Professor Emeritus of History in the University of Newcastle, who rates the book as the most authoritive account of the invasion - that's a major and very significant testament by a much respected historian.

Geirr has worked diligently at his writing and has balanced the text with equal measure of Norwegian, British and German accounts. The photographs are well chosen allowing the reader a wider understanding of the dramatic events of 1940. Geirr questions and corrects many so-called accepted facts of that period in history and provides the necessary and essential evidence to support his findings. In short this book should be on the shelves of anyone who is interested in the history of the invasion of Norway.

In my opinion, and those of others, this will book will be the accepted and established account of events surrounding April 1940 - listing above those considered to be the accepted standard. The bar has been raised.

Or will it be available in norwegian too?

We can only pray for a Norwegian version. Makes a bigger market in Norway

I am not sure if there are plans for a Norwegian version, but I can state that NUAV's website is listed amongst the references in the rear of the book.
