Boston bomber shot down near Kobbfjord, Finnmark 1944
GRATULATIONS WITH THE NEW FORUM!
I'm trying to gather some information regarding the loss of this aircraft and its crew.
The aircraft belonged to 118MRAP VVS Northern Fleet. They were shot down some time in (August?) 1944
One of the crew managed to bail out and survived, the other one went down with the plane.
Does anybody have the names of the crew and/or additional info?
TIA Kjell

August 1944 is not a likely month and nor is the unit 118 RAP VVS SF. It is most likely an A-20 of 9 gvMTAP VVS SF. Is this Kobbfjord near Måsøy (Breisundet, ESE Straumneset?)? Have you some more details to allow me to make a more certain ID?

Correct position is South-east of Måsøy, at Østerbotn.
My source of date and unit is from "Flyalarm" (page 277, latest edition)
Another source: Gunnar Jakobsen, Havøysund, said date NOVEMBER 1944
The dead man of the crew was buried at the wreck site.
Found some pics of the site here:

Ok, then it can only be A-20 of 118. RAP VVS SF attacked by two Fw 190F of 13./JG 5 at Kistrand 08:00 in the morning on Sunday 29 October 1944. Three of the crew of four parachuted at Tufjord.
Crew:
Aminev, J.F. Lt (OK)
Losovskij, V.A. Lt (KIA)
Bushkovskij Sgt (OK)
Nekrasov, Anatolij P. Sgt (POW)
Aminev and Bushkovskij back to airfield Vaenga-1 23.12.44. Nekrasov probably POW S of Stabbursdalen Nov. 1944. Brought to Alta. Losovskij killed in the crash and buried at the site.

Hei Rune
Thanks for helping me out once again
By the way, we visited Tufjord last summer, but all we knew of there at that time, was the two Ju 88's at Rolvsøy.
